Erin Gartner

Professional Art Therapist

As an art therapist, Erin incorporates elements of art therapy into her classes, creating a safe and supportive space for self-expression and personal growth. Erin understands the challenges and joys of the creative process, and she guides her students through their artistic journeys. Whether teaching the fundamentals of drawing or helping students experiment with different painting techniques, Erin provides a personalized approach to art education, tailoring her teaching methods to meet each student's individual needs and goals. She believes in fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment where students feel encouraged to take risks, experiment with different techniques, and develop their artistic skills.

With a strong emphasis on process over product, Erin encourages her students to focus on the joy and fulfillment that comes from the act of creating, rather than solely on the end result. She believes that art is a powerful tool for learning, and she strives to help her students develop their artistic skills while also fostering their confidence and self-esteem.

Erin is committed to helping her students discover their unique artistic voices and develop a lifelong love and appreciation for art.

Erin has earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the Alberta University of the Arts.

“Art is art, nature is nature, you cannot improve upon it…..Pictures should be inspired by nature but made in the soul of the artist. It is the soul of the individual that counts.”

-Emily Carr
